The Grand Union Canal near Theddingworth in south Leicestershire is a popular venue with members. The stretch has also been used on a number of occasions for Canal & River Trust matches due to the excellent catch reports from prior events.
Stretching from bridge 46 in the west to bridge 60 in the east, this 5 mile section off great fishing all year round.
The stretch offers a good head of Roach, Perch, Skimmers and Bream. Match weights can often be made up of hundreds of small fish. There has been the odd double figure Carp reported also, but less frequently than other sections.
